I do like the looser curl and I like the way it hangs, the only thing is I have to do it again this weekend because it doesn't last as long as the tighter curls, go figure :) I have so much hair and it is very thick (not complaining, I know I am blessed) so I am trying to find easier ways to have the curly look without taking 2 hours to twist/roll my hair. This took me less than an hour after I washed my hair.
I created this blog to share my pilgrimage of natural hair. My Sisterlocks were installed 7/15/03 with 2 inches of my natural hair & since then I have learned to love every part of me. My journey has also inspired me to get to know my loose natural hair so on 7/16/2011 my Locktician cut my Sisterlocks off & my new journey began. I hope this blog inspires you to embrace your hair in a way you never have before. *Let your LIGHT shine and your NATURAL HAIR flow!*

"A Semi-New Look"
Ok, I was hesistant about posting these pictures because you can't see my hair as closely as I would like, but I figured, "what the heck, this is a hair blog and all of the pictures can't be perfect but at least visible." I tried something new this weekend when I washed my hair. I did a two-strand twist and instead of rolling the ends I put little rubber-bands. Also, when I usually do a two-strand twist I end up with at least 30-40 twist therefore it gives a tighter curl but this time I did much larger twist and I ended up with about 12-15 twist.

I twist my hair and roll up the end with a rubber band when I wash my hairs since I still have to braid and band. I let my hair dry like this and my hair is perfect when I take down the twist. I generally get too tight of a curl when I use rollers or use the soft spikes. Your hair looks gorgeous!
Darcia
I like it. You look great!!!!
I love your semi-new do. It looks great!
oooooh I likey! AllieH20 tucks her ends under, into the twist. It might be an option that buys you 15 more minutes!
Ladies (Darcia, Aya, Cashana, and Cheleskilove) thank you so much for the compliments.
Normally, I roll the ends and it does give a tighter look, but one of the main things I like about this look is you can see more of my length, kind of like wearing it freestyle with a little waive. I rarely wear my hair freestyle so it was nice to find a style that shows the length and is less work :) Now I just have to find a way to make it last longer.
This weekend, I am going to try to do smaller twist, but not as small as I usually to, and rubberband the end and maybe it will still give a loose curl style but last a little longer. I will post if it comes out different.
Your hair looks beautiful as always! I've been to lazy to try soft spikes or curlers so maybe I should go the two-strand route.
I LOVE YOUR HAIR IT IS GORGEOUS AND YOU ALWAYS HAVE SUCH INTERESTING INFO ON YOUR BLOG. THANK YOU AND BE BLESSED!
Thank you ladies (Meikmeika and cocoanaps) for the nice compliments and cocoanaps I am glad you found my blog helpful.
OK, this is the goal....you're hair looks really good. I love the length and texture of the style. +-
Sony,
Thank you for the compliments and also for visiting my blog. You are off to a grand start!
I like this look. I love soft waves and curls, in fact I prefer them. I think I'll give this a try. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks Katika! Your hair is looking beautiful also. Yesterday after washing my hair I tried a braid out, it gives a wavy look but a little tighter. I think I may like it more when it loosens up, I will find out in a couple of days :)
