I created this blog to share my pilgrimage of natural hair. My Sisterlocks were installed 7/15/03 with 2 inches of my natural hair & since then I have learned to love every part of me. My journey has also inspired me to get to know my loose natural hair so on 7/16/2011 my Locktician cut my Sisterlocks off & my new journey began. I hope this blog inspires you to embrace your hair in a way you never have before.

Your transformation is just amazing. Did you start with natural or relaxed hair ? I have just started my sisterlock's journey and I am enjoying every minute of it. I love your hair it is just beautiful.
Thank you Anonymous, the potential of our beautiful African hair still amazes me. I cut all of my perm off with the exception of a half of inch, my loctician suggested to leave it on to help with the locking process and so that I would not have any bunching or slippage. It worked perfectly because I had little of both.

You look like you are really enjoying your hair! All of the pictures are nice. My two favorites are the Twists Out with the Scarf and the Roller Set with sponge rollers (you are sitting down in a green chair and you have a white shirt on). The angle the picture was taken from is very, Very, VERY flattering to you. Beautiful! Thank you for sharing.

I love your hair, from month to month it stayed lovely. What size locs do you have? I love your smile also.
