Chosen Vessel's afterthought.......

For those of you who have followed my journey you know that I did not make this decision to cut my locks lightly. I devoted time, research, patience, and of course prayer and this is the conclusion I came to.

I enjoyed my journey but the time has come and I have total peace about my decision. A few months ago I was going to cut my locks but I was not ready yet so I decided to dye and go with bangs and that was a great temporary solution but I knew that I would eventually come to this final decision.

I will continue to share my natural hair story on my blog that includes years of lock wearing and soon post lock natural hair. Thank you all for your support of my blog and continued support :)  It brings me great joy to hear that my blog has been an inspiration to so many and my hope is that the information and encouragement that I will continue to share will uplift, inspire, and inform.

Again thanks, this community of Sisterlocks has truly been a blessing to me and made my journey so worthwhile.
Now to the next chapter......I hope you join me :)

I am so very glad to hear that you made YOUR decision concerning YOUR locks. While I have truly enjoyed your pilgrimage, I look forward to watching this new journey with your natural hair. I am sure that I,too,one day will make this choice. I never had an opportunity to know my own natural hair before sisterlocks. After reading some of the books that you have suggested, I am learning that there are so many more choices for natural hair now. In conclusion, your spirit is what truly makes you the beauty that you are. Please keep sharing! God Bless!!

@Felicia- WOW, your post has truly blessed me. Thank you so much, I really appreciate you sharing your heart :) I am happy to hear that you read the books because they played a major role in my decision. After watching various Youtube videos, reading the books, and being on FB, all of these outlets had and have such a wealth of information on our natural hair that I did not even know existed..and the products that are available now are phenomenial!!! I like your comment, I never had an opportunity to know my own natural hair before Sisterlocks, YES-YES-YES that's it :)

@Anthia-ofo- Amen :) I will, I can't wait!

Hi Abena, you know you best. I respect your decision. I will continue to follow journey. I cut ny Sisterlocks late last year because of hair loss. So I'm enjoying and learning my loose natural for the first time. However I really miss my locks :) I look forward to reading about your new journey. Take care,

V

I'm still at the teething stages of lock love...I can't even imagine cutting them. However it's good know this too shall pass...when I get to the stage to 'move on' I will know because of bloggers like you.

Ultimately, loose natural hair is probably closest to God's blueprint for us. All the best in your new journey.
