"What Are Your Favorite Hair Products For Your Locks?"

"Hair Product Survey"

Please take a moment and tell us all what your favorite Hair Products are for your locks? (Include shampoo, conditioner, moisterizers, oils etc.)
I like doing these surveys not only because it helps me but I think it helps us all to see what is working for our brothers and sisters who are locked. We are still a pretty small population so information is very powerful in the locking world.

Locizm,

Thanks for the input. I used to use Nexxus Therappe also and you are right it is great (maybe I will try it out again now that I have locks). My favorite right now and I say right now because they change often as I see what works better for my locks:

1. Carol's Daughter- Tui Hair Oil and Lock Butter. (smells divine)
2. Sisterlock- Herbal Shampoo, Mosturizing Creme, and Mosturizing Spray.
3. BB Hair Food. (Sort of like grease but a little lighter).- smells good

I am still searching for a good deep cleanser/conditioner and shampoo for locks.

I have stopped using the SisterLock starter shampoo; I really didn't like how my scalp didn’t feel clean. I am so accustom to washing my hair every day before my SLs. So now I am using Fantasia Tea Tree Shampoo, which I am in LOVE with. I dilute it of course. Then when I need a lil lift on my babies, I spritz with rosewater & glycerin or lavender water (I made by taking 10 drops of lavender essential oil and distilled water). Both of them smell great and I always get compliments that I smell good (HEHE). If I really need some extra moisture, I use New Bein Hair Milk. My loctician gave this to me on my first day of having my SL installed but warned that I don't have a "curl" and to use it very sparingly. So I only use about a dime size of it, and maybe have only used it 3 or 4 times.

I do miss conditioning my hair, but I think that rosewater with glycerin is making my hair soft. So I guess I don’t really need conditioner, huh! Anyway, it seems to work for me and I have not had any itches.

Thanks ladies (Meikmeika and Nappy Ole Me), this is some great feedback. I may have to try and create me some good stuff for my hair with some essential oils (smile).

Well as of right now I'm still new into the game(7 months locked) I still use the SL starter shampoo, I use Top-Brass to help with my dry scalp, and I use Organic Root Stimulator Fertilizing Temple Balm (Not frequently because I often forget to help with thin and weak hair areas).I also use water to spritz my hair! I'm anxious to try new products but that might not be the best decision for now anyways.

I have been sisterlocked for 6 months now, and I love em. Of course I use the slx starter shampoo, but I absolutely love dr. bronners shampoo. I mix lavender and almond together diluting them with water in a spray bottle. I also use Carol's Daughter Tui leave in conditioner twice a week, it's great too.

Great news, I can't wait till my order arrives. Sisterlocks has a new essential oil hair mist
